Ohio State releases insane trailer for showdown against Oklahoma

The Ohio State Buckeyes will travel to Norman, Oklahoma to take on the Sooners in a soldout stadium on the road. With such a young team, this is many of the Buckeyes first road game that they will actually play in in their college careers. To get both the players and Buckeye Nation ready for the showdown against the Sooners, the school’s video and graphic team released an incredible trailer Thursday night.

In a trailer that’s filled with plenty of Ohio State’s playmakers, touchdowns, pick-sixes, huge hits, truck sticks, and even deep passes, many of the Buckeyes’ best highlights from the first two games of the season are shown in the 1:15 video. Whether it’s quarterback J.T. Barrett, running backs Mike Weber or Curtis Samuel, or safety Malik Hooker, among others, the scarlet and gray have made plenty of highlight reel-type plays already in this early season.

At the beginning of the video, defensive backs coach Kerry Coombs is heard pumping of the team, getting them ready for Saturday’s game.

“Fearlessly, fearlessly be yourself. Because you were made for this day. You were made for this moment. This is your day! Seize the moment!”

In case fans or the team still aren’t hyped up for the game even after watching this video, Oklahoma second-string quarterback Austin Kendall had some bulletin board-like material for the Buckeyes, as if the Silver Bullets already weren’t motivated to go out and prove a point in Norman to show why they are one of the best defenses in the country. Here’s what he said on Thursday’s “SoonerSports”.

“I think they have a really basic defense. Baker (Mayfield) – he’ll light them up. I’m really looking forward to it, and if my number’s called, I think I can do the same.”

What’s truly funny about the whole thing – besides the fact that Ohio State’s defense isn’t basic – is the fact that Kendall was a Buckeyes fan just a few short years ago. Ironic, huh?

Ohio State and Oklahoma kickoff Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Hopefully you’ll be able to get some sleep – or at least try to – after watching this video. For me, I just want to run through a wall. Is it Saturday night yet?
