A talk with the Cleveland Indians personal portrait artist: Between Innings
July 28, 2016Lucroy is French for foolish: While We’re Waiting…
August 2, 2016Oh. Hey there. Thanks for popping back over. [Blows dust off end table]
This may all look very familiar to you. It wasn’t all too long ago where these were our primary stomping grounds. While we were away, still working tirelessly to provide the content you had come to love, we were listening. If you didn’t speak with your thoughts, you spoke with your habits, and we were soaking it all in. Change sucks sometimes. We get it. But we are also human and sometimes we make decisions without realizing all of the ramifications.
Without getting into too much detail, all you need to know is we’re back. We’re here, still as independent as ever. So are the comments. We realize that some of the visuals are a little off—like that third column on the left side and some bizarre ad placement. Trust us when we say we’re working on these; it just may take some time.
Those of you who paid for a membership within the last few weeks, we’ll be in touch—we promise.
For now, have at it below. It’s been a long day. We’ll be back tomorrow as you’ve been used to for the last eight years. We thank those of you who stuck with us through thick and thin and will resume our regularly scheduled programming.
Cheers.

Hilarious.
We have a catch-all matter for everything that isn’t identifiably billable or non-billable. It’s called “Firm Administration.” It might as well be a junk folder, as this is what everyone uses to get their daily quota up to the mandatory minimum. For me, the matter is just mostly “WFNY Comments” (though I obviously don’t input that).
I love that we’re back. The comments really set this site apart so I’m pretty happy that I googled you guys to find my way home again.
Dammit, I was afraid this would happen. Should have known better than to pick up that snow globe

🙂
This seemed like the best place to chime in, and agree with all of your points.
I missed the article comments even if I rarely participate. Signing up for a forum seemed like a recipe for getting fired.
haha, agreed. It was strangely cleansing to not do multiple WFNY checks the last couple weeks, and I felt like a new man. But now…

You may think I didn’t, but I did just sit through that whole thing. Because, that’s what I now do again. Thanks, WFNY.
“Hey, when I was 20, I was whip-thin, too.”
I’m still processing the myriad ways the Cavs championship has affected me. While it hasn’t purged me of my love of Cleveland sports, it has in a very palpable way freed me from a deep (pathological) investment in our teams. I mean it when I say I haven’t read one Browns story this whole summer – AND IT FEELS GREAT!
Perhaps zombie WFNY will get me back into the bag of Pork Rinds, but I’ve actually enjoyed the respite from Cleveland sports, and thank the Cavs for recombobulating(?) me.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I cancelled MLB and NFL packages and haven’t looked back. I still read Browns stuff, but instead of overblown reactions and excitement, I’m generally all, like, “Huh, that’s interesting.” As for the Indians, my interest is piqued, but not enough to actually care. And when I find small pockets of care popping up, I remember that the Appalachian Trail is just a couple of miles away, grab my pack, and go. 5 to 10 miles of that up and down will beat the “sports” right out of a guy.
I will still end up wasting hours on WFNY, but that’s because it’s just too damn fun.
I’m a little late but full of happy…

Way behind you and got here the exact same way. Such a happy mistake…
