Von Miller supports Johnny Manziel, would welcome him in Denver
March 9, 2016Indians starting rotation as a starting NFL quarterback – WFNY Podcast No. 467
March 9, 2016It’s almost as if playing alongside Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman is an upgrade. Despite all of the Browns’ attempts at inking Alex Mack to his third contract with the team, the long-time Cleveland center will reportedly head to Atlanta after inking a deal in what is the first day of NFL free agency. According to Sports Illustrated’s Peter King, Mack took what amounts to a slight pay cut to play in substantially greener pastures.
Ex-Cle center Alex Mack will average @$9.5m in Atlanta deal. Could have made 500k more on ave in Cleve. Atl OC KShanahan a factor for Mack.

Alex Mack $45M Falcons deal, $28.5M gtd, $11.5M signing bonus, salaries $1.75M, $6.75M, $8.5M, $8.5M, $8M

Mack’s name has been in the rumor mill for the last several weeks as the team reportedly felt good about renegotiations with the two-time Pro Bowler. Reports circulated surrounding Mack’s opt out, but were quickly intercepted by those saying the team had hoped to extend him for several seasons before he would have the chance to do so. Mack did opt out and the Falcons, boasting some of the league’s top playmakers and the desire to protect their franchise quarterback, quickly swooped in. Thus continues a rough day for the Harvard folks in Berea who have not only now lost a Pro Bowl center, but have been left on the outside looking in from the standpoint of wide receivers.
Multiple agents echoing criticism that #Browns are being extremely hesitant in negotiations

Mack’s career in Cleveland will come to an end with seven seasons, 101 games played, 12 starting quarterbacks1, and one Pro Bowl touchdown.2

- Worth noting that the Browns will receive a 2017 compensatory draft pick for Mack, a selection which, until next season, could not have been traded. [↩]

Technically I’m in the hakuna matata stage. So…. I’m gonna get me a sandwich. Wait a minute, I am a sandwich. Hmm… should I lick myself?
Naaah, it’s still funny. Nobody got hurt all that bad.
I wonder if those passengers are still friends with that ‘bag.
So… march on Berea?
awesome! i wanted to see some people flying in the water
so awesome. I can watch bald doofus fall over 100 times and i laugh every time.
The best thing about it is that this video is obviously the property of one of these people (lone survivor in the back, is my hunch). He posted this to the internet. I wonder if they’re still friends with HIM.
If you could do that, would you ever leave the house?
It’s almost like his brain grasps the seriousness of the situation, and just turns the lights off.

My pitchfork and torch futures are really paying off.
I feel bad for whatever player he’s about to get pushed into.
I’m reminded of a Tony Grossi quote from the Holmgren epoch – “Anybody can gut a roster and replace it with rookies and first-year players. Really, anybody can do that.”
And Schwartz to KC. Same old, same old….
This team lost everyone except the player they were supposed to lose!

Well, yeah!
Eventually, I would have to replace all of the mayonnaise that I licked off of my buns…
…which would just digest and poop out…
…as more mayonnaise…
O.o
…
I’m going back to bed.
Seriously, Cleveland ranked 25th in rushing offense and gave up the second most sacks in the NFL last year. Outside of Joe Thomas, the offensive line has been hugely overated. Mack is not worth more money than Joe Thomas, PERIOD.
Gipson, yes, lead league in INTs twice. Okay, but he sucked last year, keeping it real. His big INT of the year he fumbled ala Brandon Marshall.
Schwartz to me is the only “real” loss, just because he is young still.
Rabbit, he is Josh Cribbs but faster and smaller, likeable, will be missed, but he was not worth the money either.
I told us all last year, if the Browns did not improve their 7-9 record, half the “good” players would leave. This has been a long time coming. The Browns were 3-13 and tied for the worst team in the NFL with these guys. I trust the Harvard crew, Browns did NOT overspend.
Who is cheaper, Wentz/Goth or Osweiler? The two rookies will get around $25M guaranteed, that is it. Osweiler just got $72M based on POTENTIAL alone. ASSinine… Harvard guys did not over pay for 3-13 football players. Good move…
