March 14, 2016Showing some rare consistency with his second mock draft, ESPN’s Mel Kiper has the Cleveland Browns selecting North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz with the second overall pick in his third mock draft of the pre-draft season. With this latest mock, Kiper has solidified himself in Wentz’s corner after he had the Browns taking Goff in his first mock draft, but leaves the window open for a non-quarterback given all of the other changes that have recently occurred in Berea.
From his post at ESPN.com:
2. Cleveland Browns
Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State
I wouldn’t rule out Cleveland taking a non-quarterback here and then getting one with the No. 32 pick, but Wentz would make sense here as a super physical talent whom new coach Hue Jackson can develop.
Free-agency effect: Is there a QB in free agency clearly better than a healthy Josh McCown, one they want to pay big dollars for? Right now, I doubt the Browns make a splash there.
Wentz displayed impressive measurables at the NFL Combine. While his hand size was among the biggest for quarterbacks, he also showed smooth throwing mechanics along with running a 4.77 40-yard dash and a 4.15-second shuttle time. Hand size may be overrated, but Browns head coach Hue Jackson did point out Wentz’s impressive hands in his interview following the combine. Perhaps hand size could prove to be important for the next Browns quarterback playing in Cleveland’s weather, which includes snow and lakefront wind.
The Browns chances of drafting a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick could also change if they trade for 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. With rumors swirling around the San Francisco gunslinger potentially coming to Cleveland, Cleveland could draft a position other than quarterback if they were to acquire Kaepernick.
With Todd McShay also having the Browns select Wentz in his latest mock draft, both of ESPN’s draft gurus have the same mindset when it comes to the Browns No. 2 pick—finally. Kiper has California quarterback Jared Goff getting selecting being San Francisco at No. 7. And, as far as the collegiate team with the most potential first-round draft picks, Kiper has six former Ohio State Buckeyes going in the first round: Joey Bosa at No. 6 (Ravens), Eli Apple at No. 14 (Raiders), Darron Lee at No. 17 (Falcons), Taylor Decker at No. 18 (Colts), Ezekiel Elliott at No. 20 (Jets), and Vonn Bell at No. 30 (Panthers).

Sure.
“And with the second pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns . . . uh, pass. It says here that the Sashi Computalator is down, and without it, no one in the draft room knows what to do. Oh well, moving right along, with the second pick in the 2016 draft, the San Diego Chargers select . . .
The Sashimetric Computalator has calculated that the Player Ability/Financial Payoff Coefficient doesn’t enter into the positive range until about midway through the second round, so unless they can trade that pick for more analytically efficient picks, they will default on the #2 overall pick.
When I saw the draft of 5845 dollars,,,,yz I accept that my friend’s brother was like really generating cash in his free time with his PC. . His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 11 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car .
