March 3, 2016With NFL Draft season underway and the event itself drawing closer, fans are going to be treated to a host of ESPN-aired sidebars revolving around the game’s top prospects. In preparation for this spring, former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones will appear on the seventh season of Jon Gruden’s QB Camp.
Cardale Jones will be on one of Jon Gruden's QB Camp shows which begin April 12 on multiple ESPN networks leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft.

Jones was one of nine Buckeyes who decided to forego their senior seasons and enter the draft. With only 10 starts under his belt at Ohio State, Jones is one of the most interesting prospects in the draft, especially among quarterbacks.
Gruden, to no one’s surprise, had a few kind words to say of Jones:
“[He is] another mystery – perhaps the biggest mystery in college football history. Who is he? He comes out of nowhere, takes the cape off and the Buckeyes win the national title, and I haven’t seen him since. He’s inexperienced and there’s not a lot of film to look at. He’ll be one of the most intriguing shows we’ve ever done.”
Undefeated as a starter, the 6-foot-6 Jones lived up to his “12 Gauge” nickname with his effortless deep balls. With one of the strongest throwing arms in the class, Jones was supposed to show off his skills in the NFL Combine over the weekend. Unfortunately for him, he pulled his hamstring running the 40-yard dash and had to sit out the rest of the Combine.
While leading Ohio State to a Big Ten Championship game demolition over Wisconsin, a win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff Championship semifinals, and a win over Oregon to win the inaugural College Football Playoff Championship. Jones stepped up in a huge way for J.T. Barrett, who broke his ankle. In 23 games donning the scarlet and gray, Jones completed 166-of-269 (61.7 percent) threw for 2,322 yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while running for 617 yards and four touchdowns on 153 carries.
According to Ohio State writer Jerry Emig, the TV schedule will be released later this month. It begins on April 12 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC and will go all the way until the draft.
The other six quarterbacks who will appear on Gruden’s QB Camp:
- Jared Goff, California
- Carson Wentz, North Dakota State
- Connor Cook, Michigan State
- Christian Hackeberg, Penn State
- Dak Prescott, Mississippi State
- Paxton Lynch, Memphis

i still like dak prescott as a sleeper QB … great athlete & he played in the SEC.
Something serviceable or top 20 would be fine with me.
