At the risk of being the old man on the porch with his 80 year old shotgun kicking crushed beer cans into the street, part of me is still somewhat intrigued by superhero movies, but on the whole I find them fake looking, boringly plotted, either not funny in any way or funny for an 11 year old.
So, for me, the death of the superhero movie cannot come fast enough. There is nothing new to be said or done in these movies. It is a drivel-fest with escalating scenes of fake violence that have no meaning or reality to them. They are good for one thing: making fools part with their money. And, like fellow old man Gene Hackman in Hoosiers, I’m … having none of it.
