Hey, Love! You’re No All-Star. Get Your Game On, Go Playyyyy: Cavs-Pistons, Behind the Box Score
January 30, 2016Cleveland State loses to 3-18 Illinois-Chicago in foul-riddled OT affair
January 30, 2016Good news! Johnny Manziel wasn’t arrested! When that’s the silver lining of the latest off-field issue involving your former first round draft pick, it’s not good.
The days of Johnny Manziel being a Cleveland Browns headline might be in even shorter supply than was thought. It was just this past week that we were discussing Jim Brown’s (sort of) endorsement for Johnny Manziel. Jimmy Haslam also said at the Cleveland Sports Awards that he thought the relationship could “be repaired.” All this was before yet another report about Johnny Manziel seemingly being involved in all the wrong things off the field. While Manziel wasn’t arrested, (YAY!) police were involved in an “altercation” that apparently involved Johnny Manziel and his girlfriend.

This latest incident didn’t involve a vehicle or a Northeast Ohio highway, or even Paul Kruger, at least as far as we know, but it’s another incident nonetheless. It’s all part of the storyline that includes the Browns’ new head coach and noted quarterback guru, Hue Jackson, not having talked to Manziel since being hired. You know, why would you bother to talk to the quarterback under contract for the future if you had plans for his future? All this while the Browns are scouting quarterbacks at the Senior Bowl, including Carson Wentz.
Even the most sympathetic of Browns fans and some of Manziel’s biggest defenders must be running out of patience strapping on the cape for someone who apparently doesn’t have much interest in playing quarterback in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns. It’s true that he might need some help and maybe he’s even been the victim of modern social media culture, but it’s increasingly difficult to consider that the source of the problem rather than just an extra amplifier to disturb the peace of the all night rager that has become Johnny Manziel’s life.
Just a final note on this story – and it might be the most important one – is that the Browns can cut ties for good starting February 8. It’s hard to argue that it wouldn’t be logical for the Cleveland Browns to finally remove their name from the Johnny Manziel headlines as soon as possible.

Hopefully he’s not on the roster much longer.
I swear Manziel is intentionally trying to get himself off the Browns. It’s like some ridiculous conspiracy.
Hue Jackson gets hired and all indications are that Johnny’s days in Cleveland are numbered. During this time, Manziel is as quiet as he’s ever been. Then Jim Brown and Haslam make comments suggesting Johnny should stay in Cleveland, and suddenly Manziel is back in the news again.
Think about it. His off-field issues, albeit many, are hardly consequential as far as penalties, fines, etc. go in the NFL. His girlfriend might even be in on it. These are domestic issues and other minor altercations in which the cops seem to repeatedly clear Johnny.
Am I crazy for thinking the guy has a plan in place to get out of Cleveland?
Really can’t know what to think about him now until I find out what Jim Brown thinks about him now.
If that is the case then I hope he gets his wish.
Hi i drove home drunk tonight but hey I didn’t get arrested so ¯_(ツ)_/¯
When I saw the draft of 5958 dollars, I accept that my friend’s brother was like really generating cash in his free time with his PC. . His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 11 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car .
Look here for details

My favorite part is DFW Police hunting him down with a helicopter:

Guys, what do we know for sure from this? Craig said two things (and only two things) that are true, Manziel was in the news again, and the Browns can cut ties on Feb 8th. Why were the police called? Did he do anything wrong? Maybe he just needs to break up with the girlfriend, orhe just needs to grow up, or maybe both? Nonetheless, we have had many NFL players do worse, and I am tired that it is news if JFF takes a dump on his toilet.
I am not a perfect person, but my slate has always been clean. I married someone who abandoned our child, and I am raising him by myself. This is the worst thing I have done. My point? I am more interested in discussing when Manziel misses a team doctors appointment or a team meeting. This to me, those are unforgivable. I married the wrong person at 22, and I am paying the price for it. This incident, makes ZERO impact on his ability to play football or not. (Unless of course, he does turn criminal in his actions, which doesn’t seem to be the case). I think the worst things that can be said about JFF is that he is immature (even for his age) he can grow up if he choses to. The thing I am more concerned about, is will he ever make this decision.
This is why people shouldn’t buy jerseys the day after we draft some guy. Sorry you blew $100 on a jersey for a never-was, never-will-be, punk but how about you stop letting that color your perspective on the guy?
I’d say it’s just another piece to the puzzle, or another building block if you will. By itself I would say you’re right, it doesn’t mean much, but this is twice now where the police have been involved during an altercation between Manziel and his girlfriend. It’s possible he’s just the world’s most unlucky person, but it seems much more likely that there’s fire behind this smoke.
This is the part I don’t get… it seems pretty clear that either Manziel has an intricate plan to get out of Cleveland or that he really is a scumbag. Why are there so many Browns fans who want to keep him around? What good would that do?
There are a lot of misguided fans out there.
Once upon a time I bought jerseys. In fact I still have them and they fit. I no longer buy jerseys but if I did I’d put my name on the back. Shamrock #69!
