Lonnie Chisenhall named ESPN Sweet Spot’s DPOM for August

September 3, 2015The Ohio State social media world lit up when two of Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones’ siblings posted status updates on each of their Facebooks about Jones being sent to the hospital (the posts have since been deleted). First reported by Tony Zarrella, of Channel 19 in Cleveland, Jones was rushed to the hospital with severe head pain.
With no explicit reason as to why he might have needed to head to the emergency room, Ohio State fans feared for the worst, but were hoping for the best. According to Eleven Warriors, Jones is resting and should be okay. Given the heat in Ohio the past few days, the quarterback could be suffering from dehydration, but any thought to a cause is mere speculation at this point.
Do the Buckeyes have a bad case of the Wednesdays? Wide receiver Noah Brown broke his leg last Wednesday, requiring surgery and forcing him to miss the entire 2015 season, and now this Wednesday it appears that Jones has been sent to the emergency room.
Jones, of course, is one of two quarterbacks competing in the much talked about quarterback competition in Columbus. Battling redshirt sophomore J.T. Barrett for the starting nod, it would be best for all involved if this incident was just being blown out of proportion. Perhaps Jones is not only just having bad head pains, but can stay healthy the rest of the way with just a few days remaining before their opening game at Virginia Tech.

Last minute ploy to make VT think that Barrett is starting on Monday. I like it.
