March 18, 2015Ohio State vs VCU Preview: A Ram and a Buckeye Walk Into a Gym…
March 18, 2015There are only a handful of days where NBA players get to deviate from their team colors when it comes to their choice of on-court footwear. Thankfully for those who wish to break away from the norm, and those companies who wish to provide another excuse to outfit them, Easter Sunday is one of those very days.
As they do with every other major holiday, the folks at Nike have whipped up “Easter” versions of the signature shoes for both Cleveland Cavaliers—LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. Playing on the colors and prints synonymous with Easter, the Nike Basketball Easter Collection mixes the standard array of pastels and graphics with the Swoosh’s trademark flavor.
The LeBron 12 upper is largely comprised of Aluminum and Sunset Glow Megafuse. A subtle floral print on the black Sunset Hyperposite caps it off. According to Nike, the floral pattern mixed with pastel hues is a nod to James’s fashion adeptness of seamlessly mixing prints and colors.
Wherein the LeBron 12 is more patterned, the Kyrie 1 is all about color blocking. The entire upper is Medium Berry with the sockliner and top half of the sole being accented in Hot Lava with the bottom half of the sole being a seafoam green.
Interestingly enough, while other special releases (like the Christmas, Black History Month or All-Star colorway) were sold at a small premium compared to the general releases, Nike will be selling the LeBron 12 and Kyrie 1 “Easter” for $200 and $110, respectively. The entire Nike Easter Collection will be available on April 2.

SHOOZZZZZZZ (yawn)
I can’t wait to see their Good Friday line.
Prefer the vibrance of the Kyrie1’s over the more pastel of the Lebron’s.
Also, congrats to the Kyrie1’s for being the most worn shoe in the NBA!
Also also, I need a break because I just congratulated a shoe.
