The Lazy Narrative v. LeBron James’ Fourth Quarter Free Throw Shooting: Case Closed
March 6, 2015Realistic free agent targets for the Cleveland Browns
March 6, 2015The great thing about Spring Training baseball is that everyone is much more relaxed than they are during the season. Therefore, you get more stories about random occurrences from the players and managers lives.
The Indians have been extra cautious with injuries this spring. The team mentioned that Gavin Floyd’s first start will be pushed back a few days to help ensure he does not have any setbacks. And, they continue to state that they will not be afraid to do the same with Nick Swisher as they want him to be healthy for the season. They have even taken to having Carlos Carrasco and Corey Kluber throw simulated games instead of live action in order to control their pitching ramp for the season.
So, it is good news that the biggest injury news to come out of Goodyear thus far was a minor mishap with Francona’s scooter when an Indians employee had to ride it onto the field for a promotional video. FOX Sports Ohio reports that both the employee is fine, but the updates on the scooter were more vague.
The Indians staffer had a couple minor scrapes and is back to work. As for the scooter, there is no update from the training staff on when it can resume jogging and move up to position-specific running.
So, let us hope that this mishap remains the largest one of Spring Training for the Indians and look forward to the opening of the revamped Progressive Field.

Between this and Bauer’s drone being suspended by MLB, the Indians’ inanimate objects are having a rough spring.
Better the inanimate then the animate
Surely this spells doom for the Tribe!
I want an official ruling. Are objects that can move truly considered inanimate?
