Please note the Indians have signed infielder Russ Branyan to a Minor League contract and assigned him to Triple-A Columbus for the remainder of the 2014 season.
Branyan, 38, has spent the 2014 season in the Mexican League with Tijuana (19HR, 59RBI, 1.043OPS). He has played parts of six seasons in the Indians organization (1998-2002, 2010) and was the club’s 7th round pick in the 1994 June draft. He owns 194 career Major League home runs across 14 seasons (1998-2011).
