Browns waive Jason Pinkston, three more players

The Cleveland Browns storyline regarding Jason Pinkston appears to have come to a close and today it’s a sad one. The blood clot issues that Pinkston was dealing with a year ago appear to be career-ending. It’s such a shame for a player and overall good guy like Jason Pinkston. In the end, Jason Pinkston’s career ends with having played 25 games for the team including all 16 games as a rookie in 2011.

In addition to Pinkston, the Browns also waived receiver Chandler Jones, tight end James Oboh, and linebacker Edgar Jones.

  • Hate to see this. Seemed like a genuinely good guy, and played well for a someone taken without fanfare in the 5th round. I was really hoping to see him get back out there and help lock things down up front. Best of luck to him from here.

On the other hand, he played a professional sport, which may be the reason that his blood condition was found early enough to be properly treated and hopefully he’ll be able to lead a full and fulfilling non-playing career. I wish him the best.
