You Guys are the Best: While We’re Waiting
July 14, 2014LeBron did attempt to recruit players to Cleveland prior to The Decision
July 14, 2014You knew it was going to happen and I really couldn’t wait to do this podcast. Scott Raab joined me this morning to discuss the return of LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
We discussed the letter that LeBron wrote with Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated. We also discussed the sourcing frenzy that led up to the LeBron article coming out. Scott talked about what it’s been like for his son to welcome back LeBron James and also a little bit about what he’d like to see in terms of coverage of LeBron James from the region’s biggest paper, the Plain Dealer.

Good podcast. I’m happy Scott was able to forgive. I know it took a lot for a guy who wrote what he wrote to humble himself. great episode.
I’m excited to listen to this when I get out of work today to see if Scott is happy, or just slightly less angry than he usually is.
Both Raab and Cleveland Frowns – i.e. the two most cynical bash-nerds in the tri-county area, are happy about James coming back. Has the world gone topsy-turvy?! (Yes I realize Raab lives out of town, but the joke stands!)
Loved the discussion (surprise!) about media, especially guys like Lee and Brian. Good stuff.
He was happy! Good stuff.
Craig, I thought the media discussion was interesting, and tend to agree with Scott’s take that Windhorst takes too much flak from Cleveland fans.
For a life-long Cleveland fan, it is an
amazing turn of events that between Manziel and now the return of LBJ, Cleveland,
a city that hasn’t seen a championship title in 50 years, for all intents and
purposes, is the sports center of the universe.
They just need to back-up the hoopla with wins and hardware!
But I have to say, a life of letdowns still lingers and part of me is holding my breath, waiting for something to blow up…
Always enjoy Listening to Scott and Craig pod casts- I appreciate the information and the insights given – always interesting perspectives
