Video: Behold Justin Masterson’s “Immaculate Inning”
June 3, 2014Tate’s big pitch and Parsons on the market …While We’re Waiting
June 4, 2014The Browns do not supply any injury information during OTAs. Let’s be clear- the team is not obligated to do so. So here is a gathering of information put out by the various beat reporters from the session open to the media today.
DB Justin Gilbert– Did not participate on Tuesday, though he told reporters that it was not because of the kick to the knee he suffered last week, but a different muscle strain.
OL Joel Bitonio– Bitonio walked off the field in the middle of practice with a slight limp and did not return.
LB Karlos Dansby– The free agent signee participated fully for the first time this year. He had been away from the team rehabbing an injury.
QB Brian Hoyer– Hoyer was somewhat limited again in which drills and how many reps he was allowed to participate in. Following practice, Hoyer told the media gathered that he is lobbying to get more time with the starters in 11 on 11 drills during the team’s mandatory mini-camp next week.
WR Nate Burleson– Nate is expecting to get the cast off his arm this week and hopes to be ready to go at the start of training camp. According to Burleson, his most recent surgery was to fix the plate in his arm. No bones were broken.
DL Ahtyba Rubin– Was back at practice after missing time with an undisclosed injury.
DL Desmond Bryant– Bryant was also an active participant in drills after sitting out during previous days.
WR Miles Austin– Participated for the first time in practice, at least that the media is allowed to see.
RB Isaiah Crowell– Crowell continued to work on the side, mostly on the bike.
WR Travis Benjamin– The speedy receiver continues to rehab his torn ACL on the bike. One note on Benjamin, he and receiver Charles Johnson have traded numbers. Benjamin will now wear #11, and Johnson #80.
WR Charles Johnson– Speaking of Johnson, he and his new number were also on the bike Tuesday.
OL Joe Thomas– Sat out activities on Tuesday. No reason given. Could easily be a agreed to day off.
CB Aaron Berry– Wasted no time getting on the field with his new teammates.

If tough guy Bitonio had a slight limp, then he must have shattered every bone in his leg!!!

How did Benjamin trade numbers? Wouldn’t he have to buy all jerseys off the rack, or were there not that many out there?
No more Disqus?
Just having a temporary compatibility issue with it. We’re working on fixing it, hopefully it will be back soon.
Probably need an article covering the new comment functionality. Community does not like unexplained change…
Good update on the injuries. Thanks!
Thanks for the note. If we’re not able to restore Disqus today, we’ll probably make an announcement about it.
