Love Reign O’er Me, While We’re Waiting
May 20, 2014Indians 5, Tigers 4: Dr. Smooth to the rescue….again
May 20, 2014Not real newsworthy, but I was entertained by what transpired on the Internet last night with Greg Little and new Browns corner Justin Gilbert. Of course you all know that Greg Little was released by the Browns and didn’t make it through waivers. The Oakland Raiders picked him up, which prompted the Deadspin headline in the pic below.
But that’s not the funniest reaction to the Greg Little news, at least not for Browns fans. Greg Little tweeted the following about his chance to show the Browns what they’re missing when the Raiders play the Browns this season.

But new Browns cornerback wasn’t impressed. When it was brought to his attention, Justin Gilbert had a succinct answer for Browns fans.
Gilbert has since deleted the tweet, making me wonder if he was intentionally trying to smash Greg Little or maybe Justin Gilbert has no idea who Greg Little is. Dare to dream.

The latter would honestly not surprise me. Greg Little isn’t exactly a household name.
beleedat!
That Justin Gilbert tweet looks photoshopped…with it blown up you can see some weird grey edges around all the elements (@handles, name, time stamp, etc) that looks like they were photoshopped together. I am not an expert though.
I beleedat Little will catch a 4-yard out for a first down and prance around like he just deep-sixed Richard Sherman. Later he’ll drop a perfect bullet in the end zone.
Is Greg Little still going to be on an NFL roster on October 26th?
sports players trash talk? whowoulda’ve thought?
(From where I see things, Greg Little seemed to work hard, didn’t act like a diva, and was a team player. I hope he finds meaningful success elsewhere and wish him well on his new team (but not too much success, esp. on Oct. 26).)
See new game A sports bra http://bit.ly/1ngIPEi
Oh yeah. I think Greg Little tried hard and was mostly a good citizen. I don’t blame him for wanting to show the Browns something. I love Justin Gilbert’s confidence though.
Besides the trash talking, two interesting notes in the article:
1. Little and Bess were, by the DYAR measure, the two worst receivers in the league and Gordon was the best–which supports what we all thought and felt as we watched.
2. McGahee was the 3rd worst RB and Richardson was the 9th worst. So as bad as old man Willis was…it wasn’t that steep of a drop off from the younger and similarly bad TRich…sadly enough.
May this be the last Greg Little post ever. He has sucked enough life from all of us.
Why would Little tweet Gilbert?
Skrine will be the one covering opposing third string WRs…
Amen. For all we know Oct 26 is his dental apt. Let’s let this man go in peace. In other words, more fitting to him, let’s drop it.
Hopefully he will make a ten yard catch when they are down 14+ in the fourth quarter and talk crap and do an exaggerated first down signal
Third string or 4th/5th string?
Then he should have tweeted McFadden.
Maybe he is referring to his kick returns to the 13 yard line…gilbert may play a little special teams
It has to be embarrassing for any RBs who measured worse than an old, crippled McGahee.
Someone else tweeted Gilbert with Little’s tweet.
(I can’t believe I just typed that sentence. I feel like a twit.)
Greg Little could be a monster gunner (unless he tackles like he catches, then the runner will just bounce off his hands).
Greg Little is the type of WR who Gilbert will bait the QB to throw to by giving extra cushion just to take it away and prance in for a pick-6.
It’s still hard for me to fully realize that we have Justin “ballhawk” Gilbert in our secondary with Joe “shutdown” Haden.

Beleedat!
As Garry edges ever closer to the dark side.
What about Buster Skine “door” and Leon “orange smurf” McFadden?
This pretty much captures my thinking:
Greg little jokes are so much funnier now that he’s gone.
Not gonna lie, “Buster Skrine Door” made me LOL.
Love the elf logo on Chuck Morrow’s tweet
