May 14, 2014Before anyone get their tailbone pads in a bunch, these are NOT any documented foreshadowing of a colorway change for the Cleveland Browns’ uniforms. What these are, however, are pretty awesome renderings of a concept cleat for the Browns’ (hopeful) quarterback of the future in Johnny Manziel.
Over at NiceKicks, up and coming sneaker designer Quintin Williams has drawn up with cleat concepts for what a Johnny Football shoe would look like as a part of his “What if?” series. Pulling inspiration from the recently unveiled Nike Vapor Hyperagility cleat, his renditions feature a take on Cleveland’s brown and orange color combo.
This additional mock was reportedly done with Manziel’s friend LeBron James in mind.
Given that Manziel had his own line of apparel that stemmed from his Pro Day, there is little doubt that the quarterback will have his own cleats. How much they’ll look like these remain to be seen.
