This obviously assumes that we lose Ward AND Mack in FA. I don’t think both happen.
Mitchell Schwartz gets solid/high quality starter rating? I wouldnt have guessed…
past 2 seasons he has started terribly and gotten much better as the year went along. he played very nicely the last 6-7 weeks of the season.
Ward will get tagged if not extended IMO.
Skrine and Bryant should both be much higher – I think at least Skrine is skewed by the sheer number of passes sent his way because of Haden – and as others mentioned I’d be curious where Ward/Mack fall in there.
Schwartz depends too much on help from the tight end IMO. Barnidge helped pass block more than any other TE in the league last season.
agreed on skrine. the pff rating on skrine is very bad. (106th out 110 CBs.) that’s not what my eyes saw… he wasn’t the disaster that that rating suggests.
your point on haden causing more throws skrine’s way is good. skrine played 1065 snaps, was thrown at 117 times, 2nd among CBs. (the guy playing opposite patrick paterson was #1.) accordingly or tellingly, skrine was #1 among CBs in passes defended (15). for reference, haden was thrown at 99 times with 12 PDs. skrine/haden’s YAC allowed was 314/169 so that’s an area he could do better.
pff has mack #4 among centers and ward #3 among all safeties (free and strong).
He also had to play next to Oniel Cousins. :/
I’m going to have to throw a flag for twelve men on the field.
