“The Cleveland Browns organization is not getting much respect here at the Senior Bowl. The attitude towards the Browns, specifically the front office, from personnel people around the league has ranged from disparaging to downright nasty. Several comments were passed at the South’s afternoon practice that few are surprised the Cleveland franchise cannot find a head coach considering “those in charge”. In fact choice adjectives were used by front office people here in Mobile to describe “those in charge” in Cleveland.” [Pauline/Draft Insider] (H/T Dawgs By Nature)

“Carr was once again the cream of the crop among the South quarterbacks. He has a strong arm, but shows good touch, and he didn’t seem bothered a bit by the winds. On one play he pulled off a perfect play fake, rolled to his left, and fired a bead on the move. The only problem was that Davis was unable to get both of his feet down in bounds. While Carr looked pretty good overall, it’s important to remember that these guys aren’t facing any serious pressure. That’s not going to be the case on Sundays.” [Higdon/Draft Browns]

Um, not digging this one Tribe. “What does the role of Governor Brohio entail, exactly? The Brohio Governor is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for every fan that enters the Brohio section. This may include, but is not limited to welcoming bros, leading cheers, encouraging amazing awesomeness throughout the ballpark, and creating an enthusiastic and positive atmosphere for all Brohio nights.” [Tribe Vibe]

There is a team in Ohio doing well… “On the eve of their 1000th franchise game, the Blue Jackets are in a playoff position and setting franchise records with stellar play both at the team and individual levels, but perhaps the best thing about tonight’s victory is the attitude coming from the locker room. When guys like Richards, Horton, and Umberger talk in post-game interviews / pressers about not being satisfied, that’s exciting. They know that there’s more to do, and that they can be better.” [Wagner/Jackets Cannon]

I guess when you are desperate for fan attendance, you have to appeal to even the most annoying corners of the fan universe.
Finally some love for the Jackets. Seven in a row, we’re streaking the quad with Frank the Tank.
Love the Beverly Hills Cop reference, but 3 was the start of Eddie’s downfall.
Respect is something that must be earned
Glad Bob is back and looking better last nights game was a nice win!
Sadly, I think the whole Brohio thing is quite popular.
I’d settle for another R word: relevance!
