The Diff: How the Cavs lost momentum during home losses
January 29, 2014WFNY Roundtable: Talking Browns and Offensive Coordinators
January 29, 2014There was an interesting development at Quicken Loans Arena last night that had nothing to do with first overall pick Anthony Bennett getting more than 30 minutes of run and double digits in points for the first time in his career.
It appears that Austin Carr’s retired number 34 banner was missing during last night’s game.
Several Cavalier media members noticed the missing banner, including 92.3 The Fan’s TJ Zuppe who tweeted a picture of the remaining banners.
The banner was in place for the last Cavaliers home game, a stunning loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. In between the two Cavalier games was a WWE Raw event at The Q.
The Cavaliers confirmed that the banner was missing Tuesday morning after the wrestling event. The team is investigating the incident (good luck) and are in the process of replacing the banner for the next home game.

If the WWE stole it, ban them from the Q for life. Ban anyone associated with them from the Q for life.
Nobody messes with Mr. Cavalier. I want this person’s heart delivered on a plate.
If a cavalier player stole the banner, you can’t have what they don’t got…
Its really a work where the entire cavs team comes out and accompanies Dan Gilbert and Austin carr to wrestlemania where they cash in the money in the bank and have Carr become the new WWE champion.
I’m shocked and disappointed that there hasn’t been a “throws the banner down!” comment here yet
for the last time, I do not have it and that is merely a replica banner in my garage!
has anyone checked “deep in the Q”?
Someone really misapplied the recent call to “remove Banner”
Yeah, ban money!
I agree that’s a little insane
Somebody got that work shirt outta here.
The running joke on Twitter is that Canadian yuppie Bieber stole the banner. The Photoshopping is of very good quality from what I’ve seen.
All the good puns have been taken. Sad trombone…
