January 29, 2014— Cleveland Cavaliers small forward Luol Deng, who scored six points in the Cavaliers’ recent loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Deng has played 10 games with the Cavs. After his 6-point night on Tuesday (3-for-10 shooting), Deng is averaging 15.6 points with the Cavs and is shooting 43 percent. He was averaging 19 points and shooting 45 percent with the Bulls. The Cavaliers, on Tuesday night, finished up a five-game homestand in which they went 1-4.

I like Deng, but he’s not infallible. He has made a few bad decisions himself since coming to the Cavs… maybe it’s just infectious. He made some bad decisions in yesterday’s game to try to go ISO and score by himself… didn’t work out very often. I still like him though… would still like to see him in Cleveland for several years.
Deng is playing a little worse than he did in CHI…but he is not the problem here.
If anyone was expecting Deng to make this team a serious playoff contender, you are sadly mistaken.
Please define serious.
