With roughly three minutes left in the third quarter of Tuesday night’s win over the New York Knicks, Kyrie Irving made Knicks shooting guard Pablo Prigioni the latest player to be on the wrong end of one of his many highlights. With a flurry of crossover dribbles and a high-post screen, Prigioni found himself almost approaching the free throw line before turning around and finding that Irving had never left his perch at the top of the three-point line.
These sort of highlights have been fewer and further between this season. Thankfully for Cavs fans, it doesn’t take away the fact that, just four night after getting blanked in Atlanta, Irving was able to bounce back and put up 37 against the Knicks. Cleveland, and the Cavs alike, just have to hope for plenty more of the latter.
