NFL Draft 2014: Quick thoughts on QBs before Browns finale
December 29, 2013NFL News: Joe Haden, four other key players inactive for Browns finale
December 29, 2013The Buckeyes arrived in South Florida today sans one of their key defensive playmakers: Defensive end Noah Spence did not travel as he sorts out “personal issues.” It appears he will not play in Friday’s Orange Bowl.
Multiple reports on Twitter, including those of 10TV’s Beau Bishop, share that Spence was not on the team plane. It’s a huge loss as the sophomore was an All-Big Ten First-Team defensive end this season.
On the year, Spence had 52 total tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He’s one of the team’s best players on defense and in a matchup against Tajh Boyd and the Clemson offense, his absence will be crucial.
