The Browns announced Wednesday that DL Desmond Bryant is being placed on the reserve/non-football illness list with an irregular heartbeat. Bryant has had problems with this condition the past two seasons, and felt symptoms earlier this season in the Thursday night game against the Bills.
According to Tom Withers of the Associated Press, Bryant will undergo a procedure on Monday.
Bryant was signed to a five year contract in the off-season worth $34 million, almost half of which is guaranteed.
The Browns promoted WR Brian Tyms to the active roster from the practice squad and released LB Justin Staples. Additionally they signed DB T.J. Heath, DL Cam Henderson and LB Jonathan Stewart to the practice squad.
