November 20, 2013The Diff: Stats on the Browns’ depressing loss to Cincinnati
November 20, 2013The Cleveland Browns have signed wide receiver Josh Cooper from their practice squad. Cooper will replaced wide receiver Armanti Edwards, who was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury Wednesday.
Cooper was waived on September 30 after appearing in just one game and failing to record a reception. He is of the slot receiver mold and is reportedly close friends with Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden. In 2012, Cooper caught eight passes for 106 yards, averaging 13.3 yards per reception.
Edwards was added to the Browns’ roster on October 29. The former third-round pick, and Carolina Panthers’ developmental project, ends up with one catch for 10 yards and four punt returns for 28 yards on the season. Edwards now has a total of six receptions in his four-year career.

Uh oh. Roster shot across the bow to Devone Bess? Security blanket for Weeden if Campbell’s ribs get too ouchy?
Nah, prolly just the best available that can pick up the system in mid-season.
Ladies and Gentlemen, your Week 12 starting quarterback: Brandon Weeden!
Oh poop, who is the 3rd string QB now?
So we are back to playing for draft picks?
The preferred nomenclature is “flailing” for draft picks.
is Gray healthy?
I’d rather take my chances with Spencer Lanning.
I sometimes get confused which WR is our 3rd QB…
is Frisman Jackson available?
