In his second series of Thursday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, quarterback Brian Hoyer was injured on a first down scramble.
Hoyer was beginning a slide close to the Browns’ sideline when he was hit high from a Bills defender. His legs bent awkwardly beneath him. Initially, it appeared that Hoyer could have been the victim of a helmet to helmet hit, but replays did not clearly verify that. No flags were thrown on the play.
Bills rookie Kiko Alonso was the player that hit Hoyer.
The Browns announced his injury as a right knee injury, and his return is questionable.
