The Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday that they have signed WR Brian Tyms off of the Dolphins’ practice squad. They have released WR Tori Gurley.
NFL rules state that any team can sign a player off of another team’s practice squad, but must keep that player on the roster for at least three weeks. Last week the Browns signed WR Charles Johnson off Green Bay’s practice squad, but discovered he had a torn ACL.
The Browns still have not added a quarterback since Brian Hoyer’s injury. Hoyer had successful surgery last week and will miss the remainder of the season.
