This would not be a big surprise, as Brandon Weeden just started throwing the football at the end of last week as he recovers from a sprained thumb.
It also wouldn’t be a surprise because the Browns offense has come to life the last two weeks while Hoyer was under center. In his two games this season, Hoyer is 55 of 92 (59.8%) for 590 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions. (All of the interceptions were against the Vikings.)
Weeden in the first two games of the season was 47 of 86 (54.7%) for 516 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions. (All interceptions were week one against the Dolphins.)

NFL Rumor: the sky is blue and water is wet.
🙂
Mark this one down in the “duh” column!
I feel like this would be the case even if Hoyer was only mediocre yesterday. Would be odd to change things up again on a short practice week unless Hoyer had been miserable.
I don’t know how you can start Weeden against Det unless Hoyer gets hurt or plays miserably. Minnesota and Cincy are good football teams and he won both of them
I would hope so. The job is his to lose as far as I’m concerned.
Sorry Brandon, life ain’t fair sometimes…
To quote Rick Manning:
Well, yeah.
Brandon should call Colt and on and on and on. Hoyer is showing just how lacking Weeden was as a starting QB which just underlines how I always felt about Weeden.
Cinci is at least, MIN is pretty meh.
They have a tough schedule coming up too
