Yikes, 10 game road trip in “late September” sounds awful for a late playoff push.
Playoffs?
Only thing better then starting the season on April 5th in Cleveland would be to play in Minnesota. Great job schedule makers!!!!
San Diego’s only trip here will be in the second week of April when it’s cold and nasty.
Don’t these schedule makers ever learn?
I looked at the schedule. Why are there STILL no games scheduled in October!!!
Because it’s pretty much impossible to schedule games in only warm weather cities for a month (or more).
Exactly. So early on when the weather is the most chancy, you should play teams within your division because they are a lot easier to make up.This is such basic common sense.
I understand that scheduling is difficult with lots and lots of moving pieces parts. But to have San Diego make their only trip here in early April is foolish.
The Indians play 14 intradivision games next April, 13 in May. Before Memorial day, the only games they don’t play intradivision, in a warm weather city, or a dome are the 3 against SD, 3 against Toronto, and 4 at Baltimore. The latter two series shouldn’t be much of a problem to make up.
All in all, there are just three games in the first 50 that could cause an issue in trying to make up. Considering that there has to be an interleague matchup at all times now, I’m not sure you could have done it any better.
Zing!
