July 3, 2013Cleveland CF Michael Bourn will return from the paternity list tonight in Kansas City as the Tribe takes on the Royals.
Bourn was placed on the list last weekend.
RP Nick Hagadone will be sent back to AAA Columbus to make room for Bourn. It is the sixth time this season Hagadone has been optioned.

“Bourn, 30, is batting .299 (69-231) with 12 doubles, one triple, 2 homers, 15 RBI and 33 runs scored across 56 games this season. He also ranks 2nd on the team with 11 stolen bases (11-for-16).
Hagadone, 27, has gone 0-1 with a 5.33 ERA (15 ER/25.1 IP) in 28 relief appearances for Cleveland across 4 separate stints this season. He has also gone 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA (2 ER/9.0 IP) in 7 relief appearances for Columbus.”

Hagadone’s been optioned so often he doesn’t even get angry enough to break his hand anymore. Another example of this regime’s superior player development.
