Cavaliers major in damage control in win over Hawks
January 10, 2013Trevor Bauer: Eccentric or just smarter than the rest of us?
January 10, 2013Peter Vecsey tweeted last night that the Cavaliers had discussions with the Los Angeles Clippers about Anderson Varejao.
Now, please note what the “report” says- the Cavaliers DISCUSSED a trade with the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan and Varejao were the principals. Even with Bledsoe in the mix, (which the report says nothing about the Clips willingness to include him), there is no guarantee the deal gets done.
Lots of things get discussed in the NBA.

All we learn from this is that Mike Lombardi has a very big mouth.
Separated at birth: Mike Lombardi and Chris Christie? Maybe not, maybe I’m just suffering from abrupt Lombardi planted rumor withdrawal. Whatcha got for me today, Mike?
I would’ve been quite okay with this. I love Eric Bledsoe so much, perfect fit here.
I would have liked that deal even without Bledsoe to bad Varejao can’t stay healthy. He’s really going to hurt the Cavaliers as a result.
the Clips would have done this just for the FT shooting at the end of games, let alone the defensive improvements and rebounding. Jordan is fun to watch, when he’s on someone elses team and you don’t have to worry about his limitations.
no.thank.you.
I guess the idea of this deal is that we upgrade over Pargo?
if this is all we were planning on getting for andy, im quite fine with moving forward with him on the roster
Peter Vescey is still around? I hadnt heard from him since the NBA on NBC days.
VAREJAO FOR MICHAEL JORDAN???
DO IT GRANTZ!!!
I was starting to like the Nekola Pekovic trade. He seems like a beast
He *is* a beast.
We still have a shot at Pekovic in RFA in a year.
Oh you want separated at birth? How about my Govenor Christie and my hometown coach Artie

A real possibility because both are Jersey boys
I like the deal for a number of reasons.
1. We currently do not have a player who excels at shot blocking.
2. DeAndre Jordan can run with our offense.
3. He’s a lot beefier than any other big man currently on the team (BEEFCAKE!).
4. Remember all those fantasies of Andrew Bynum and Kyrie? Well, same deal here. Except DeAndre is healthy…
5. He’s younger than Andy, yet more experienced / talented than Zeller to be our starter. Keeping Zeller on the bench unless he exceeds DJ.
6. Eric Bledsoe is a nice piece as well, would give us a legit starter at the 2 guard spot for years.
If this deal were to happen down the line, I doubt Bledsoe would be included. We fleeced the Clippers once, I can’t see it happening again.
wow. That’s not separated at brith, that’s identity theft.
drew bledsoe had to be part of that deal
