Craig Krenzel. He was never the most physically gifted player but had a brilliant mind for the game and had a knack for coming up with the big play when needed.

Eddie George, guy was awesome to watch. Saw game against Pitt where he couldn’t be stopped, seemed like he had 400 yards that game.

Craig Krenzel. He wasn’t the most gifted athlete and a lot of the time it wasn’t pretty, but he was clutch and always seemed to find a way to come through. He took a beating in the championship game and still kept running the ball when he needed to.

James Laurinitis. Loved watching him at Ohio State….and his dad is Road Warrior Animal from the Legion of Doom…enough said.

My favorite all-time college football player is also my favorite Cleveland Brown of all-time… Steve Everitt. Dude played center with a broken jaw. Tough doesn’t quite fully describe him. Note: I’m a huge Buckeye fan.

Tommie Frazier is the most often forgotten great college football player. He was over shadowed in his own day by Charlie Ward (who played 2 sports for FSU and played for the Knicks and had been drafted by the Brewers out of HS) despite being better in every facet of the game (’93 Orange Bowl where Ward beat Frazier certainly helped even though Frazier led the Huskers on a possible GW-drive that ended with a missed FG).

Chris Spielman when he played for The Ohio State University. He wasn’t the most physically gifted but he maximized his talents with a never ending motor and true determination.

in the 3 football seasons I was at BG, they won 12 games total. Then after I left, they hired Urbz. I have no idea how Gary Blackney survived as long as he did.

Mine would have to be Joe Jurevicius. I got to play against him in high school and I always rooted for him even though he went to Penn State and I was a Buckeye.

I’ll stick with just this season and go with Zach Boren. I know John Simon was the “heart” of the team but this defense never comes together without Zach Boren stabilizing the linebacker corps.

Who is your favorite college football player? If I’m going Buckeyes, probably James Laurinitis. Rocked his jersey many a Saturdays through college and even a few years after he was gone. Not sure why, but back in HS I was a big Joey Harrington fan. Might have been that we shared a first name and he and the ducks were unstoppable in NCAA, but I was sad to see him fail so horribly with the Lions.
