December 31, 2012Caplan: Kelly is Browns’ “Clear #1 Choice”
December 31, 2012According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, New England’s Josh McDaniels will not be interviewing for head coaching vacancies.
Though he’d like to be an HC again one day, Pats OC Josh McDaniels notified teams Monday he will remain in NE, not interview for HC jobs now

McDaniels had been linked to the Browns as a possible head coaching candidate. He was previously a head coach in Denver.

Looks like McDaniels smartened up. This is a positive for the Browns IMO.
WOO HOO! Now if Lombardi comes out and says he wants to stay an analyst I will be PUMPED.
This is actually a win for bth sides. JMcD should stay in NE for awhile, win a Super Bowl and then take a prize gig in a few years after establishing himself. And for us, well good cuz he is not what we are looking for, especially with complete player control
I agree although I don’t know about the SB I do envision New England v Denver in the AFC Championship game though.
As far as the Browns go a head coach and a general manager are the way to go IMO and in a perfect world both share philosophies on and off the field. Of course this is easier said then done but we’ll see what happens. I’m on the record of supporting a head coach with a resume who has a track record as opposed to another first time head coach hire particularly one from college.
Thank you baby JESUS!
