Browns-Raiders Inactives: McFadden Out, Cribbs and Marecic Active
December 2, 2012Browns end ugly road losing streak against Raiders 20-17
December 2, 2012Could someone actually be interested in Indians’ starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez? The San Diego Union-Tribune’s Bill Center says yes. His article today states that the Padres might have interest in Ubaldo because of his durability over the past few seasons.
“Acquiring Jimenez would take a trade with Cleveland. And the Indians seem ready to discuss a trade involving Jimenez. But what would it take? And what are the Padres offering?
The Padres have depth at the corner outfield slots, in the bullpen and at middle infield. The names most often mentioned as possible trade chips are relief pitchers Luke Gregerson and Joe Thatcher and outfielder-first baseman Jesus Guzman.”
Shh, nobody tell the Padres that he’s worthless.

DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!!
goodbye Ubaldo
ubaldo for a washing machine
Thing is, relief pitching and middle infield are strengths for the Tribe. If we unload Jimenez to the Friars we better get corner OF and possibly 1B depth in return.
Jimenez for Street and Quentin….oh and you pay their next two year salaries.
We got a deal?
I have much more hope for ubaldo to recover than masterson
Why is that? I’m curious…Masterson may never be “ace” material again, but I still think at worst he could be a solid #3 pitcher with some guidance. Ubaldo on the other hand, has such strange mechanics that he can’t seem to replicate, that expecting any kind of consistency out of him is foolish.
putting the answer to this in Monday’s Tribe thread.
