And now today’s contest-
Today you have the opportunity to win an autographed photo of Browns safety T.J. Ward. In addition, we’ll send you a WFNY orange and brown t-shirt! The shirt is from our partners at GV Art and Design.
Today’s Question:
I thought we’d have a little fun today. Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters? For example, do you think Joe Haden would make a good center-fielder for the Indians? Let’s her ’em.
Comments must be posted by midnight Cleveland time in order to qualify for the drawing. Check back tomorrow at noon for the results. Remember, only one entry is allowed, but you may still comment to add to the discussion.
Good luck!

I don’t want to say Weeden making the Tribe, because we have plenty of bad film on Brandon, and the Dolans would never go for it ;). I’m gunna go with Alonzo Gee, he actually reminds me of TJ Ward a little. Great athlete, I bet he’d make a good football player
Honestly, the obvious choice would be Brandon Weeden as a pitcher on the Tribe. God knows the Wahoo’s could use him. But I think the best answer within the spirit of the question would have to be Josh Gordon on the Cavs. Gordon could play some Small Forward with his size and athleticism…and who knows maybe his jumper would be better than Gee’s.
Jordan Cameron has the perfect size, skill set and experience to slot in as the starting small forward for the Cavs.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Travis Hafner at middle linebacker for the browns…….
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
I think Phil Taylor would make a great catcher with the Tribe. He would be able to crush homers and block the plate against any runners. He’d be our XL version of The Panda out in San Fran
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
jordan cameron on the cavs or tyler zeller punting
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Phil Dawson – All teams, all positions.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Jason Kipnis. I see him as a give-you-everything-he’s-got safety for the Brownies.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
I think that Anderson Varejao would make a great reciever/tight end for the Browns. At the very least, his ability to fake a foul would pull a lot of pass interference calls.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Andy Varejao at MLB. Just running around like a maniac.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Samardo Samuels on the browns, TJ ward on the indians because he is always injured and can replace Grady
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Weeden. He’d probably be the ace of the Tribe’s rotation.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
I would have to say Travis Benjamin as an Indians OF, most likely CF. Doesn’t Benjamin remind you of Willie Mays Hayes with his incredible speed? He might even flip off opposing middle infielders when he’s caught stealing…
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Phil Dawson on the Cavs because he hits the 3 more than 90% of the time.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
“Neon” Dion Waiters at CB for the Browns
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Phil Taylor on the Cavs. They could call him tractor Taylor. No one from the other team would drive the lane with this big guy in there. We could at least use him for the Miami games so he could lay out that LeBron crybaby.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
For the sake of fun let’s go with Joe Thomas as the tribe 1st baseman
I’m guessing everyone would say Weeden since he played pro ball already. How about TJ Ward on the Monsters hockey team?
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Phil Dawson on the Cavs. Have you seen the size of that man’s calves? He must have at least a 45″ vertical.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Michael Brantley would make a great CB. Good height and speed pus he knows how to track a ball.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Kipnis as the Browns slot receiver. that Dirtbag mentality would have no fear going across the middle
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Ahtyba Rubin: Goalie, Lake Erie Monsters. Fill that net.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Dion Waters @ Safety for the Browns. Dion has that swag about him and plays very recklessly. I could see him being a reckless safety dropping back in coverage and rushing the passer when it’s call for him.
-That TJ Ward hit still gives me goosebumps watching.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters? For example, do you think Joe Haden would make a good center-fielder for the Indians? Let’s her ‘em.
Kyrie Irving… CF for Tribe
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Josh Cribbs as a left outfielder for the Tribe. He would be better than who we have had recently…
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
I see that someone already mentioned Phil Taylor as a catcher, but I think T Rich would make a fantastic one as well. I think his size is a little more ideal for a catcher than Taylor’s. The hair coming out of the back of his catchers mask would be pretty cool as well
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
B. Weeden. Because the Indian’s rotation couldn’t get much worse.
I think it’s time we bring back Kenny Lofton again…for the Cavs
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Jabaal Sheard could DH for the Tribe. That guy can hit from the left side.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Kyrie Irving… just overall talent with speed and brains there that would translate to any sport
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Weeden, he would be the Indians best pitcher
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Jordan Cameron would make a great Cav.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
A healthy Grady Sizemore as the Browns QB because…well why not?
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Travis Benjamin on the Indians because he could steal bases all day long.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Joe Haden on the Cavs.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Alonzo Gee would make a nice 6’6″ 220 lb WR
I mean the obvious answer is Brandon Weeden making the Indians rotation. But I have a hunch that Albert Belle would have made one hell of a middle linebacker.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Weeden to the Indians. Somewhere he would pitch.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Jordan Cameron, Small forward for the Cavs. Did you see the Youtube video with Black Griffin and Cameron before the 2011 draft? It’s a must watch that has Cameron dunking over a (cardboard cut-out) car.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Very interesting. I’d say definitely Josh Gordon on the Cavs though. Tall, long, fast, and can jump. He’d be an awesome shooting guard. 6’3″, 225lb. Beast.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
TJ Ward to the Cavs, just to headhunt a bit and give our bench/team some attitude. Somebody on the Cavs needs to get pissed sometimes!!
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Weeden could be the next Jim Thome – you heard it here first.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
I am going with the easy choice: Weeden on the Tribe
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Josh Gordon as the Indians’ center fielder.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Move Stubbs to the Indians, put him in the bullpen = Strikeouts!
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Josh Gordon to the Cavs. Fast, athletic, would do well in Byron Scott’s system.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Greg Little on the Cavs. Played some ball at UNC, which means he wasn’t half bad. And, right now, the Cavs are more than half bad (hellllloooo there, Casspi).
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
Kyrie Irving as the Tribe shortstop. Good eyes, soft hands, and can quickly cover ground on defense. With his quick hands, bet hit bat would have some pop.
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
easy choice: weeden on the indians
what i would most want to see: zeller punting for the browns or joe thomas playing center for the cavs
Which Cleveland athlete do you think would have the best chance at making one of the other Cleveland rosters?
T.J. Ward, could sit on the IR for the Cavs or Indians.
