While We’re Waiting… Old Municipal washes ashore
November 2, 2012Hanford Dixon: Browns had a “bounty” system
November 2, 2012Newest member of the WFNY team Ryan Jones joined me a couple nights ago to talk about the Browns and the Cavs and what it’s like to be a Clevelander transplanted into the heart of Texas.
- Dallas fans and their relationship with Tony Romo
- Is it a football fan’s worst nightmare to have to rely on Tony Romo who is just good enough not to be replaced?
- Anderson Varejao and his amazing opening night performance
- Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters and what it’s like to try to be an NBA fan in this day and age
- Talking Browns vs. Ravens and how much the matchup changed since these two teams last played

Weeden’s “floor” is Derek Anderson? Whoa, someone hook up Ryan’s cable. If we ever see Weeden throw repeated brainlocked red zone interceptions or zip fastballs off RBs helmets from 2 yards away it will be more likely he’s under heavy sedation than he’s Derek Anderson.
Weeden left Anderson territory in week 1 and has shown improvement in almost every area since then. Ryan, just for that you better go grab the sides of your head in shame like post-pick Derek.
what if we see him zip a last second heave out of the back of the endzone where noone can catch it?
In week 1, Weeden was very Derick Anderson like. I was there and comparing him to DA is being kind. But if that is the floor, and he is progressing each week, then hopefully we will never see anything again that reminds us of DA. Although DA did make the pro bowl one year some how. I hope the upside is basically compared to any QB who has won a super bowl.
How many career games in? I think you’re just playing now.
I am. And, to be fair, the end of the first Ravens game was much more Brady Quinn (throwing a ball out of bounds where noone can catch it) than Derek Anderson (who would have thrown it right to Ed Reed).
