Cheering for the Yankees
October 21, 2012Game 7: Browns vs Colts OPEN THREAD
October 21, 2012ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter confirms what many had suspected: the Cleveland Browns roster of present and future has been turned over to recently named CEO Joe Banner.
Cleveland’s new CEO Joe Banner, not Pres Mike Holmgren nor GM Tom Heckert, will have final say on whether Browns make trade before deadline.

Though Mike Holmgren and general manager Tom Heckert will remain in Berea through the season, and Heckert potentially beyond, it will be Banner who will oversee any moves that could potentially impact the team beyond the 2012 season.

I love how Schefter “breaks news” that everybody already knew about.
that’s the ESPN way…they hear about news from another source, and then have one of their own guys “break” the news crediting nebulous “sources”. Meanwhile the ESPN crawl says “ESPN’s (reporter name) reporting that…” when in actuality, it was originally reported by a reporter elsewhere who put the work in to get that info.
Just another reason to avoid ESPN whenever possible
They are the “Faux” news of sports reporting.
