October 1, 2012Ken Babby Emerging as Likely New Owner for Akron Aeros
October 1, 2012With training camp starting tomorrow for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and media day taking place right now, there were a couple last-minute additions to the early 2012-13 roster.
PG Kevin Anderson, a 23-year-old University of Richmond product, was on Friday’s preliminary roster. Anderson was the 2010 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and played professionally in France last season.
SG/SF Justin Holiday, 23-year-old University of Washington product who played with the Cavs in the Summer League, then joined earlier today. He averaged 6.4 points in 16.8 minutes in five games in Las Vegas.
The final training camp roster is then the following. Obviously, no starting lineup or depth chart has been announced and positions are a bit flexible for now:
PG: Kyrie Irving, Jeremy Pargo, Donald Sloan, Kevin Anderson
G: Dion Waiters, Daniel Gibson, Kelenna Azubuike
SF: Alonzo Gee, C.J. Miles, Omri Casspi, Luke Walton, Justin Holiday
F: Tristan Thompson, Samardo Samuels, Jon Leuer, Kevin Jones
C: Tyler Zeller, Anderson Varejao, Michael Eric

Why, Mr. Anderson? Why do you do it? Why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you’re fighting for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Yes? No? Could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson. Vagaries of perception. The temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the NBA itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson. You must know it by now. You can’t win. It’s pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?
Anything is possible. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
You forgot Gody… Who I personally think should be cut even though we just extended his contract. I mean I like the guy, but I can’t see him having a brighter future than Samuels, Leuer, or Jones.
He is the one
How does the final roster work? I know 12 are active for each game, but is the roster 15? Still wondering how the final few spots will be decided
Kevin Anderson is a dawg…period. Cavaliers made a great decision…Watch and See…And yes, he is the one!
