Top Five Non-Essential Things Jimmy Haslam Should Do With the Browns
September 19, 2012Weeden: Last Week Shows I can Play at This Level
September 19, 2012Pay no attention to the opening comment that I haven’t done a podcast opener sound clip yet. I threw one together very quickly. It will work as a placeholder for now until and unless I come up with something better. It was good to get TD in to talk a bit. TD is never at a loss for words, so this one ran to just about 30 minutes today.
Show topics:
- Matt LaPorta blowing the game against the Twins last night
- Manny Acta and Sandy Alomar
- Tom Heckert and his job security
- Brandon Weeden’s second start
- Mike Holmgren vs. Joe Banner
- The Core 4 – Bubba Ventrone, Jason Trusnik, Nick Sorenson, and Blake Costanzo
Enjoy and tell a friend!

It’s definitely interesting that the Browns opted to go with Bademosi and Gipson as special teams guys rather than guys who have been doing it for years. I mean, if your only job on the team is to be good at special teams, you really should be something special like the Core Four. Four ST lifers is probably too many, but I think 2-3 is a good number. We currently have 1 (2 if you count Maiava, but I don’t count him as anything special).
Cribbs and Ventrone are two… That was the real problem this weekend. Ventrone was out, thus Bademosi.
Didn’t think about Cribbs as a tackler, but you’re right.
