NFL CBA Affords Players Early Day Off
July 31, 2012Random Cavaliers Off-Season Thoughts
July 31, 2012From the Canton Repository–
“After a complete review of the police reports, supplemental narratives from officers, witness statements and about a 30-minute police cruiser video, Alliance City Law Director Andrew Zumbar has authorized the filing of disorderly conduct and a seat belt violation charges against Ohio State freshman running back Bri’onte Dunn and his passenger. He will not face drug charges.”
The pipe and small amount of marijuana found in the vehicle belonged to Dunn’s mother. The car is also hers.

But officer their my mothers.. Haha i will from now on use this line
Friends…cousins…random passengers….
Mom? Now THAT’S a new one!
I can’t believe people believe that crap.
I’m waiting for…it was medicinal, for the dog. Really.
LOL
Oh surprise, an athlete getting special treatment with the law. That’s a new one….
So his mom took the blame because she knows he will repay him later with an NFL contract.
This is just embarrassing for everyone involved. Would the actually-matters-in-real-life punishments for Dunn by that tough? Fine, he misses a couple games against the Little Sisters of the Poor to start the year, and by the end of the season, everyone has forgotten this.
Dunn nearly runs a blinking red light, drives over the crosswalk and almost strikes a patrol car, but drug charges are dropped because the pipe and marijuana belonged to his mom? He must be a horrible driver if that’s the case.
I think you guys are really taking the officers description of what he was doing way out of proportion. The blinking red traffic signal was to alert drivers to a stop sign.
Dunn did not stop at the white line before the crosswalk, the crosswalk is not a physical structure but a white painted crosswalk in the road. He rolled through this crosswalk and then realized a cop was coming the other way and slammed on his brakes instead of, rolling through the stop sign.
This notion that Dunn was all over the road, curbing his car on sidewalks, and swerving damn near missing a police cruiser is absurd. The cop used the excuse “he damn near hit my cruiser” as a reason to pull him over, not because Bri’onte came so close to slamming into his cruiser. The cops then proceeded to pick through the car with a fine tooth comb until they found enough weed remnants on the floor and seats to charge him with possession.
Does it excuse his actions? No. Did he get out easy because his Mom claimed it? Sure.
To make it sound like he was swerving out of control and riding on sidewalks is absurd. Long story short, he was pulled over for DWB, officers made a drug charge stick, APD found out who Bri’onte Dunn really is, suddenly DWB is revoked, everyone wipes incident under rug.
can you say C.O.V.E.R.U.P
still not sure why the cops were searching the car. There is no probable cause for them to search the auto. I haven’t watched the movie – do the kids get arrested for something? again, just not sure why the cops would search unless the kids stupidly agreed to it.
