While We’re Waiting… It’s getting drafty in here…
June 28, 2012Yankees 5, Indians 4: Welcome Back to the Land of .500
June 28, 2012The NBA Draft is upon us and once again our friends at Deuce Brand are teaming up with us to give away a watch. This time, in the spirit of the NBA draft, we will be giving away the Cavaliers style watch.
For those unfamiliar with Deuce, they produce sports watches that athletes can wear while working out. Not just athletes, but anyone participating in any kind of physical activity. The watches are sleek, comfortable, and functional for using when working out or running, while still being stylish enough to wear casually.
The watches are becoming extremely popular among professional athletes. We’ve already featured the Brandon Weeden signature Deuce watch, but as seen in the picture here, Kyrie Irving also wears Deuce Brand watches. Now it’s your turn to join them in building your Deuce watch collection. And what better way to start than to win a free one courtesy of Deuce?
The contest is simple. First, go check out Deuce’s Facebook page and their Twitter account. Then, in the comments section below, simply tell us who you want the Cavaliers to take with the #4 pick and why. As always, make sure you use a legit email address so we can contact you if you win. Winner will be selected at random.
And if you want to improve your chances of winning, be sure to check out our Facebook page later this afternoon where we will be having another contest with another opportunity to win. Good luck, and Go Cavs!

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, because ferocious determination is a skill too. I’d love to have him on the Cavs.
I so badly want the Cavs to take MKG – I mean… “Whats not to like?” He’s a stud athlete, the youngest player in the draft, a workhorse, and his so called “shot” is just fine for a player that is capable of effectively guarding Lebron 1 on 1….. last time I checked… not many folks can make that claim in the NBA
If available, I’m all about Kidd-Gilchrist. He’s the swing man that the Cavs need. This is an exciting young team that can really make some jumps with the right player.
MKG. Good Chemistry with Kyrie, and we can get MGK and MKG together
The Cavs need to pick up MKG at #4, simply because he’s the kind of player you can win a championship with. Barnes is great, but lacks many of the intangibles. All MKG needs is to fix his jumper and he’ll be a perennial all-star
Easy, MKG. He is a game changer and already has chemistry with Kyrie.
I would also settle for Barnes. Pure scorer with a lot of upside.
Looking forward to tonight!
We pick MKG with #4 and offensive big man or doron lamb at #24
/ineligible
I’d take MGK for the disruptive perimeter defense.
Also, I won the last watch contest and picked up the Cavaliers version. Deuce really nailed the wine and gold colors and the watch itself is pretty comfy.
Brandon Beal, because I can already hear Austin Carr cackling “BB for three, ha-ha!”
I have to go with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Scorers are nice, but you need someone with the intangibles. He can work on his jumper, but his demeanor and personality would be a GREAT fit on the Cavs.
I wouldn’t be disappointed with Beal or Barnes, but for some reason MKG is my #1 choice. I just think he would fit best with the team and organizational culture.
MKG. He’s a winner and will work hard everyday. Scott will make sure he can be set up in places where he WILL be able to score and Kyrie will do a good job of that too. I understand the need of offense to win games, but defense will always be the base for chapmionships. The finals were so athletic, and MKG couldve played up and down in that. We need him if the league continues to move forward like this
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist @#4 will make me excited for the future like no other.
Michael Kidd Gilchrist or Bradley Beal. Everyone talks about how Anthony Davis is a tier unto himself (true) and then everyone is interchangeable from 2-7 or so (false). I think Beal and MKG have serious HoF potential to go along with floors of above average role player. I also think both fit really well with what we’re building here, but if I had to choose one, I think it would be MKG.
For me it is MKG because you can not teach heart and motor. The drive that he plays with will help him as he works to fix his shot. I also want the Cavs to make sure they consider picking players who want to stay in Cleveland and MKG seems to exhibit that as well.
Beal. Perfect backcourt combo to Kyrie
I want MKG to fill a void in the line up and give an immediate impact on the defensive end. So much athleticism and upside with this kid, not to mention he is just a kid. I wouldn’t mind a draft day trade to add another early pick in addition to staying at 4. Get the best available player, then see what you can make happen to get another good player in this deep draft.
TRADE EVERYTHING FOR RG111, HE IS OUR GUY YOU HAVE TO GET HIM
Agreed. I have a Cavs one as well, and I like wearing it. Congrats again on winning the last round.
I want MKG. Size, defense, leadership, ability to drive.
Expecting an off the wall pick or trade at 24. I think after 6 or 7 it’s going to get crazy as people move around to get who they want.
MKV. Hes a winne and hates losing with a passion. Hes the best fit for us as well, but i want him cuz he loves to win
I really want to see Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in the wine and gold. You can teach shooting technique, you can’t teach pure drive and determination.
MKG. Can’t teach effort and heart! A winning team needs it in bunches.
I’m hoping that we can get Beal without trading up, somehow. We need more scorers to take the burden off Kyrie, and Beal has the best combination of ability to get to the hoop and shoot with range. MKG can’t shoot and Barnes doesn’t rebound.
I’m hoping for MKG. He fills a void on the roster, has an excellent work ethic, and is going to be an elite perimeter defender and rebounder in the NBA. It’s hard to pass on “elite” in an area that’s always important for “good” in an area that we happen to need right now.
MKG. It’s true that we need to surround Kyrie with good shooters, but it’s a fallacy that you can only find those type of players with high lottery picks. Further, MKG’s relentless energy will allow him to get a lot of easy baskets off cuts or in transition when the defense is focused on Kyrie. Other bonuses, not yet 19 years old, friend and former teammate of Kyrie, incessant competitiveness and athleticism, if Gee is resigned that’s a potentially devastating defensive pairing at the 3.
Gilchrist please.
MKG – best fit and best talent available
Bradley Beal. There is a dearth of talent at SG in the NBA and getting a stud like Beal will set up the Cavs backcourt to dominate for a decade.
stupididiot coaches wuld just rune hem
wonder if Laker fans are as obsessed with drafting a work ethic guy, as opposed to the physical ability guy. This is a very Cleveland bunch o’comments.
Harrison Barnes. With guys like AV and TT on the team, their hard work and hustle is contagious, and already spreads throughout the locker room on a nightly basis. Adding a scoring threat like Barnes instantly boosts the team while his defense and hustle (which is the only thing going for MKG) will follow by example.
MKG….need a defensive stopper to lock down the other team’s best guy. Kyrie can continue to be our go to scorer, and allow “The Kidd” to develop his offensive game.
I would like to see them take SF Harrison Barnes out of UNC. He can stretch the floor with his solid jumper and has a high ceiling of potential as a NBA pro.
I want MKG at #4 (if we move up to #2 I want Beal). Basically for me it comes down to MKG or Harrison Barnes. I’ve done my research and MKG is overall the more effective player. Barnes might have a better jumpshot, but MKG is younger and can work on that part of his game. Give me the strong defender with a high motor any day.
Considering the Lakers are built around one of the hardest working/highest motor players ever…you’re comment was the Clevelandiest of them all…
MKG- gotta love the drive and tenancity!
MKG. He’s got determination which is something that is unteachable. He is committed to the game. I’m sure with Coach Scott’s work ethic, MKG will become a better/improved shooter. I think he will fit well here in Cleveland.
I’d love to get Beal. He seems like the second best prospect. Realistically though, I’m leaning towards Barnes over MKG, if only because I’m a Tarheel fan.
MKG. Someone who wins at every level and hates losing with a passion? Can’t think of anything the Cavs need more.
Beal or Barnes in that order. The Cavs struggled for offense last season, and things won’t get any easier with Jamison gone too.
Who do you want the Cavaliers to take with the #4 pick and why?
I want the Cavs to take MKG at #4. I think he’ll be the best fit for the team, and I think Chris Grant wants him the most. If he falls to us at #4 (from his original “lock” at #2) I think it would speak highly of Grant’s ability to “manipulate” the draft boards.
I want the Cavs to draft MKG at #4. He should be the ultimate “glue guy” for the team moving forward. If they can pull off a trade and get another lottery pick, all the better!
Thomas Robinson. Just imagine the pick and roll with Kyrie and T Rob.
I think the pick for the Cavs will be Dion Waiters from Syracuse. Reason being that the team has kept quiet about him, but know that he can provide the scoring wing threat they need.
MKG
I would love for the Cavs to get Thomas Robinson. This is a man who can score in a hurry. Let’s face it — Tristan T. and Andy V. aren’t really scaring anybody on the offensive end. A talented guy like Thomas R. would allow the Cavs to put a scoring threat in the paint. And let’s face it — Scoring Guards are streaky creatures. But those 4s and 5s hanging around the paint tend to be a good bet if they have some moves. Right now, the Cavs simply don’t have that good 4 or 5 bet on the offensive end.
i want to pick anthony davis if he falls and so does anyone else with a brain. clearly, this answer does not require an explanation.
I’m hoping for MKG first because of his chemistry with Kyrie. We need guys that work together. Then I want Royce White. Sure he is afraid to fly, but come one Uncle Dan can find someone to fix him up. He did with Delonte. Oh, wait…
The Cavaliers should draft Kidd-Gilchrist. We need high motor, high energy guys and he played with Kyrie in high school.
