Tribe third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall suffered a fractured wrist after getting hit by a pitch in the fifth inning of Friday’s game. From Jordan Bastian, Indians.com:
With Cleveland clinging to a 5-3 lead, Chisenhall was hit by a 91-mph fastball from Orioles left-hander Tyler Patton. Chisenhall jogged down to first base, where he was quickly met by manager Manny Acta and a member of the Indians’ medical staff.
After examining Chisenhall’s hand, Acta motioned for Shelley Duncan to enter the game as a pinch-runner.
The Tribe’s twitter account confirmed the fracture:
Lonnie Chisenhall fractured his right ulna (forearm/wrist area) and will be placed on the disabled list.
