Box Score: Bobcats 90, Cavaliers 103
April 10, 2012While We’re Waiting… Comparing Victor and Carlos, drafting well and putting an end to bean-balls
April 11, 2012After you see it for the second game, you don’t really get surprised the third and fourth and fifth game. I know what he is. I know what type of player he is. I know he can put big numbers on the scoreboard given the opportunity. That part of his game I know. The other part is trying to get him to understand (that) on the defensive end he has to get better and I thought tonight he was better. So that’s another step in the process of him staying on this level and I know that’s exactly what he wants to do.
– Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott following the team’s 103-90 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. Hudson came off the bench and scored 25 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out six assists. Only one other player in Cavaliers history had that many points, rebounds and assists off the bench in a game: Campy Russell had two such games in the 1975-76 season.

Hudsanity!
$5 tickets to the Indians…er, wait, we’re talking about the Cavaliers…woops. 🙂
I think this kid deserves a spot on the bench next year. He’s currently the best player on the team, with Kyrie out. He takes good shots, he sees the floor, and he’s not one dimensional like Harris (can only drive), or Sloan (can only dish). This kid has really impressed me so far.
I agree with this, especially if he shows up as the same player against some of the tougher teams. I like that he gets to the free throw line and converts there… that’s so key because it means that you can still score a good amount of points when you’re having a poor shooting night.
I draft Lester Hudson #1 Overall in my heart! <3
I believe as much about April NBA basketball on a bad team as I do any MLB team in March. All that glitters is not gold.
He deserves a look in summerball and fall. If he keeps it up (and improves his D), then he’ll have earned his spot on the bench. But, take a grain of salt for every sugar cube he puts out for now.
I’m with you but it speaks alot to the lack of talent on this team that people have become so quickly enamored with him that he deserves a roster spot. Right now he does but that’s only because of competition like Manny Harris, David Sloan and Anthony Parker. Hudson is probably better then all of them. Oh and I forgot Daniel Gibson too but that isn’t hard.
It’s awesome that for the “showtime” status Byron was to bring to the team he still preaches defense time and time again.
