April 12, 2012MLB News: Johnny Damon says he is an Indian, would like to wear number 22
April 12, 2012Cavaliers center Semih Erden suffered a right ankle sprain during last night’s loss against Indiana, falling hard and having to be carried off of the floor by teammates Anderson Varjeao and Antawn Jamison.
X-rays taken at The Q last night were negative and he received an MRI this morning at the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Sports Health, which confirmed the ankle sprain.
Erden will not travel with the team today to Indiana and will be listed as “out” for the Cavaliers game at Indiana on Friday and at Washington on Saturday. He will remain in Cleveland to receive treatment and his status will be updated as appropriate.
The 25-year-old Erden is averaging 3.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 28 games this season, averaging 11.9 minutes per night.
