Cabot: Browns work out Georgia offensive lineman Cordy Glenn
April 11, 2012Box Score: Pacers 104, Cavaliers 98 (OT)
April 11, 2012The Indians are 1-4 on the season and I am sure nobody expected Justin Masterson’s start to end in a 10-6 loss today for the Indians. Then again, I am also sure nobody really expected the east side of Cleveland to have an inch of snow on the ground this morning either. The Tribe is not looking good as they finish a shortened two game series with the White Sox on their way to Kansas City for a 4:05 PM start time on Friday afternoon. It is early, but soon enough we’re going to have to stop saying that.

3 starters batting under .100 through 5 games… did someone let these guys know this is the season and spring league?
It never fails. The Indians have a day game and I get amped up about being able to listen to the game while at work… then they give up a ton of runs and basically take themselves out of the game from the very first inning. Classic. The fun twist today was hearing the bats (read: Travis Hafner’s bat) come alive just enough to get within 1 run, and then 2 home runs destroys all that.
With all that said… it’s only April. The bats will heat up eventually… I just can’t fathom when.
Totally forgot about the afternoon game today….was kinda excited to finally watch one on tv (was out of town all last weekend). Anyways….looks like Dan Wheeler may not be long for this team….Nicky H. will be here before we know it.
or for how long. A successful team has hitters get hot in spurts, not everyone hot, or everyone cold at one time.
It’s encouraging to see ten hits till you see 11 LOB. Also a huge issue last year and seems to becoming a trend.
Good news is the Indians finally scored more then 4 runs the bad news is the pitching gave up the most so far this season. Get used to it just 157 more games to go!
Hate to be a Negative Nancy but this slow start has a very Wedgian feel to it, everyone looks lifeless out there. No urgency. Granted, its only been 5 games. The Sox and Rays started 0-6 last year and still won 90. We’ll see.
MLB has the total at 22 LOB.
Brantley is killing us too.
Brantley and his trademark weak fly ball to left field.
