Box Score: Indians 3, Angels 2

Asdrubal Cabrera came back to be the hero tonight! After trailing 2-0 for most of the game, the Indians slowly but surely caught up to the host Angels. Justin Masterson had an effective outing, entering the ninth inning to start with over 100 pitches until Vinnie Pestano came to the rescue in his usual “No Fear” mentality. From there, a leadoff Aaron Cunningham double kick-started a bottom of the ninth inning rally and Cabrera clinched the victory with his walk-off single.

  • Wow

First game of the year. We had a great time, despite how cold it was! I also believe concession prices have gone up. But I will say I was impressed with how fun the staff makes games now. The game itself was a classic pitcher’s duel with a great ending.

Angels released Abreu maybe the Indians will add him since they appeared to have wanted to trade for him before Damon.  I realize they signed Damon but Abreu is an upgrade over Cunningham that’s for sure.  Just a thought.

  • Steve

Have you seen Abreu play this year, or are you still fixated on Cunningham’s first week (also, he’s been pretty good since)?
