Break up those Wahoos. This win makes it three in a row, and puts the team back to the even-water mark for the year.
The Tribe finalized their weekend pounding of the Royals, a series in which they scored 32 runs. It was three days ago when we worried about the offense, if you recall. Holla.

So the offense seems OK…guess we’ll have to focus on freaking out about Ubaldo instead!
Don’t look now – we’re only 1.5 games behind Detroit…
See, this is why all the freaking out was just unfounded. Do I think the Indians will score 13 runs a game? No. But the past week of baseball just shows that a baseball season ebbs and flows. This isn’t the NFL where 4 games is a quarter of the season. So lets just see how the next month or so goes and continue to support the Tribe – rather than lament about batting averages a week into the season and stop going to games.
Not too worried about Ubaldo’s performance today, given that he was pitching on 7 days rest. Nice to see the offense continue to bail out our bullpen, though.
It’s tough to judge this series. Are we good or is KC bad? It could probably be a little bit of both. Hopefully the slow start was just because of the early season jitters and/or horrible weather in Cleveland. I agree with most that we need to wait a few weeks to truly judge this team. Watch them play the good teams and see what happens. But please Cleveland support the team!!
Didn’t get to watch, but I heard the center fielder for KC ended up pitching when they raised the white flag. Any truth to this?
True
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=royals+outfielder+pitched
Unfortunately yes, Ubaldo doesnt look good.
Nice to see Shelley Duncan raking, maybe the Johnny Damon signing lit a fire under him.
Good wins but the KC pitching top to bottom is pretty abysmal.
“Ubaldo doesn’t look good”….
I think you mean “Ubaldo stuggled in his last outing vs KC” because he was stellar in his fist performance.
a sweep is a sweep and it’s always good to see runs scored with this club. even if we were playing teeball.
I love the Royals.
Nope, I meant what I said. 3 strikeouts and 3 walks in 7 + is not a stellar performance. There were a lot of hard hits to the right spots. I mean he was ok against Toronto, but a lot of it was luck.
Most of baseball is “alot of luck”.
I just don’t see him being lit up the way he was when he came on board last year.
He showed control of his pitches in the 7 against TOR and was never really in danger.
Stellar might have been the wrong word as I was basing it on last year and his spring training performances.
He just doesn’t have me worried yet…….yet.
