Ten best things about being an Indians fan- “2. “Major League”: True story: After the Indians flamed out of the 2007 ALCS against the Red Sox after holding a 3-1 series lead, I called off work the very next day and watched “Major League” in my pajamas. It was a comforting and pathetic exercise made slightly more pathetic by watching it a second time later in the day.
Indians fans will always have the timeless Hollywood classic, a world where we revel in a magical winning season without being fed a far-fetched fiction where the Indians win the World Series. Ricky Vaughn and company are the perfect bubble, and for 107 minutes we get to live in it with zero danger of it being popped, even in movieland. Consider it Wahoos’ hyperbolic chamber of happiness.” [Vince G/Big League Stew]

Your new #1 RB Monterio Hardesty?- “He added, “I’m ready to come into camp and compete with whoever we have. I’m ready to get back into this offense. I already know coach Shurmur’s offense.” The very same fans that have turned on Montario, however, are the very same fans that he admires and says the team needs moving forward. “I think we have the best fans in the NFL,” said Hardesty. “Our fans are just as passionate as we are about winning.” He added, “Stay with us and we will definitely produce some better results than we did last year.” [Burge/ESPN Cleveland]

Let’s try something different- “Didn’t get a chance to talk to Josh Tomlin after his outing on Tuesday (3 IP/7R), but caught up with him for a bit this morning at the complex. Tomlin explained that he feels he sometimes throws too many strikes, meaning there are situations when he could benefit from throwing a ball intentionally to set hitters up or tempt them to chase. Tomlin felt he was in the zone too much without enough varied looks on Tuesday. He noted that he didn’t throw many high strikes to help change the hitters’ eye levels. These are all things he’s working on right now in preparation for the season.” [Bastian/MLB.com]

Brendan gave Tristan Thompson a birthday present- “I explained briefly what the Cavs Zine was to Tristan also. A collection of Cavs fans put this together for other Cavs fans to read, I said. That’s you on the cover there, with Kyrie. There’s also a record inside too, no big deal. Anyways, we wanted you to have one to help you celebrate your birthday, I added.
His response was the best part of the whole exchange though, as he replied with: “That’s really cool you guys put this together, thanks for doing that. [As he flipped through the pages of his Cavs Zine] I really appreciate you giving me one too, I’m going to check this out for sure. Thanks again”. Then he took the time to obviously pose for this picture after that, before walking out down the hallway flipping back through the pages of Cavs Zine 2 as he left the facility. He was completely genuine about all that too. You probably already thought that Tristan Thompson was cool, but just trust me in saying that he’s even cooler than you think he is. He’s the best guy ever actually, and he really likes Cavs Zine 2, also. [Bowers/Stepien Rules]

Finally, read this interview with Tyler Moeller if for no other reason than to see the picture of his OSU bling. [Priestas/Eleven Warriors]

That headline is not cool. Thought we might have traded for Tate.

if you where looking for a trade for running back instead of draft which below would work better for us….but the saints want to move a rb in a trade and rb mark inggram could be had in trade. also players contracts coming up could be had in trades are ot jake long from miami, olb brian orakpo from redskins, and cb darrelle revis from jets……….and draft picks below would be better option cheaper and younger…..also with players below you wouldnt need draft picks because you would be set for a decade and would have trade options, rookie and nfl free agents for adding players if needed which shouldnt need.
