Cavaliers vs 76ers: Battle of the Post-All Star Break Blues
March 27, 2012NFL Draft: Browns to Host Workout for QB Ryan Tannehill
March 27, 2012Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson injured his left ankle during the Cavaliers game in New Jersey against the Nets on March 19th. Initial x-rays taken at the Prudential Center following the injury were negative. Gibson received treatment during the remainder of the Cavaliers road trip to Atlanta and Orlando.
After returning to Cleveland, his ankle had not progressed as expected. An MRI and examination at the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Sports Health by Cavaliers Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker revealed a torn tendon in his left foot and ankle.
Gibson is undergoing further evaluation and seeking additional evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment. Updates on his treatment and subsequent recovery will be provided as appropriate.
Gibson, 26, is in his sixth pro season since being drafted by Cleveland. He is averaging 7.5 points in 35 games this year.

I think Boobie is done for this season. You don’t screw around with any foot/ankle issue, especially torn tendons/ligaments. The best course is for Boobie to hopefully avoid surgery and be ready to play next season. Another note: don’t think Andy Varejao will play for the Wine and Gold again this season and should be healthy and cleared to play next season as well.
Sasha Pavlovic is out 4-6 weeks?! Playoff chances be damned.
(The “you may also like” articles really need a time constraint on how far back they can go)
It’s time to cut bait with this guy not because of the injury but because he’s been as useful this season as almost every other year other then his rookie season. New SGs much needed.
