1938 Cleveland Stadium Proposal
January 16, 2012Box Score: Cavaliers 102, Bobcats 94
January 16, 2012We have to find a way to win on the road. I think we are definitely a different team as far as playing home versus away. I think we play hard but I think we have to do a better job as far as being consistent, our execution on both ends of the floor, on not turning the ball over. We had a tough road trip early and I think we learned from it. If we win [Monday], it’ll be three [of seven]. You want to finish this road trip on a winning note. We just have to mature from it, learn from it, and when we finally play some of these eastern conference teams on the road, we can find ways to win.
– Cavs power forward Antawn Jamison on the rigor of the team’s latest seven-game road trip which finishes up on Monday afternoon in Charlotte. The veteran has shouldered much of the blame for select rough stretches of shooting, saying “when I don’t play well [offensively], we don’t play well.”

and all Kyrie does this afternoon is toss in 25. Ho hum. This is nice.
This is terrible. They need to stop winning now, unless they want to go to bat for the foreseeable future with Alonzo Gee, Semih Erden, and Samardo Samuels as rotation players.
Dude. Stop.
Winning=Good. Losing=Bad.
Winning and losing are both habits, I love seeing a young squad learn how to win on the road. While a 3-4 road trip is not ideal, they beat the teams they were supposed to beat, which I love.
Sure, a high draft pick is needed, but so is learning how to win. I’ll take these wins. Besides, I have a sick desire to face the Heat in the playoffs. Shances wouldn’t be great, but boy would I like to see the young Cavs be competitive in that series. Sorry, I’m getting WAY ahead of myself.
Hmmm, how exactly does an organization with good young players calibrate what’s happening on the court so they lose? Seems to me they can only trade older teammates (they will do at least some of that) or bench the young stars (they better not). To transparently manipulate losses is to create losers. You do that only if you plan to completely gut the roster after this year. It’s up to Grant to identify the necessary additions whether they draft 5th or 13th. But Scott must show them how to win. There’s no good alternative.
You’re right. I am just getting anxious that they’re going to max out with Irving and be Milwaukee indefinitely, I am not suggesting that there is anything that they can do. In fact, I don’t think there’s much they can do, except hope that they win just a bit more sporadically.
Keep in mind they still have to play Miami, Chicago, Indiana and a lot of Western Conference teams. They will lose plenty.
