The Cavaliers used some good defense to overcome a lot of sloppy play by both teams as they snapped their four game losing streak. The Knicks mostly looked like a mess in this one. Disoriented, disinterested, and unorganized. The Cavaliers were able to do just enough to take advantage. Anderson Varejao was a monster in this game, throwing his body all over the court in securing 16 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Perhaps it was the lucky uniforms.

I have to say, I love the uniforms!
Two things
Great win but it sucks that New York could end up with a better draft pick than us.
Thank freakin’ god we got Larry and not Jimmy “Is that coke for everyone?” Dolan in Cleveland. I’m not really all that bummed about the draft thing because he will probably insist on drafting a golden retriever after catching Air Bud on TNT the night before the draft.
Silly Knickerbockers….don’t you know it takes 3 superstars to be an NBA contender?
now that right there is funny.
Andeson Varejaoed Tyson Chandler.
Andeson Varejaoed Tyson Chandler.
Being from NY I can tell you that although this win is impressive it is not as much as it seems because the Knicks are a joke.
Andy was so good and it’s caused me to be so conflicted as to what the Cavs should do with him.. his trade stock must be rising, so who knows what kind of player and/or picks they could get for him.. but having a guy like that on the team to be an example to the rookies is also very valuable, I’d hate for the Cavs to become one of those teams where high picks slave away on a crappy team year after year…
Yes, the Knicks have problems, but even on an individual level, their “stars” were being owned by Andy..
I wasn’t a Varejao fan in prior years I thought the love for him and Gibson was totally out of place but the guy has since won me over. He isn’t pretty but he comes to play every night no matter the opponent or situation. That being said I don’t know how many years he has left playing the way he does so if I’d be looking to move him BUT only if in a deal that is reasonable. No gift giving.
